It was great to touch base with all the R3 teachers. The anecdotes shared make me realise just how similar our students are; whether it be their old learning habits that we are slowly changing, or the 'aha' moments we have observed in them.

My aim over the coming term is to ensure that all aspects of literacy learning, particularly writing, are woven into my lessons. This is a result of what I have noticed in my students written retells. I'm also approaching each text with the idea of 'less is more'. A student can take SO much from simple paragraph, or even the first chapter of a text.
