Collaborative Problem Solving Process

Great discussion this afternoon ladies around your R3 children and how they have begun the year.

Kathy led us through a process this afternoon that can help support us as teachers with children we may be 'stuck' with. This process called Collaborative Problem Solving follows the model where Person 1 outlines and explains their challenge uninterrupted. Others then ask clarifying questions to better understand the challenge and then they offer possible ways forward. Person 1 simply records these suggestions for future consideration but does not engage in the conversation. At the end Person 1 reiterates what was said and what they may like to try.

You may like to use this process with your staff to help them with any 'problems' they may have.
