Wow. Lots of learning. For myself and the children!! Changing habits and attitudes is the key. Such embedded strategies and views of themselves. Hmm I am also questioning our overall literacy practice 3-6. Our focus has been around "what does it mean to understand. What am I doing to check this". This has led me to really reflect on myself as reader so that I can dig deep in my explanations. My goal is to explore and build a bank of ideas to help support the skills eg summarising.
